Plate reading solutions

Plate Readers: from relatively simple to high-end systems

Since plate readers are modular instruments, it is sometimes difficult to choose the optimal plate reader for your needs. Many assays can be performed, many detection modes can be chosen. And that in a full line of plate readers - from relatively simple to high-end. What makes choosing the right plate reader even more challenging is that you are often also constrained by a certain budget.

How can we help?

At Isogen Life Science we have multiple in-house plate reader specialists on staff with years of experience in helping customers setting up their labs. Therefore, we would love to get in contact with you to discuss your current wishes and needs by looking at your current applications in depth and by discussing possible future research plans. We can precisely explain the differences between the plate readers/models and its advantages and disadvantages. Not always, the most expensive reader is needed. We love to offer you a tailored advice about which reader and which reader configuration meets your current and future needs best. Our goal is to have happy users. During installation, we give in depth training and you can always contact us for application support afterwards.

Affordable, flexible plate reader

One of our commonly sold readers is the SPECTROstar Nano. This is our flexible, dedicated absorbance plate reader for relatively simple assays like Bradford protein detection, ELISA’s, enzyme kinetics and DNA and protein quantification.

We also offer a Nanodrop like option to measure DNA, RNA and proteins in down to 2 µl of sample in high throughput. We have a lot of experience in this application field since we also offer the Nanodrop

High end solutions

What we see in the field is that more and more high-end applications like Fluorescence Polarisation (FP), HTRF, Alpha and Cell based assays are performed on our plate readers.

Our CLARIOstar Plus fits these assays perfectly due to its extremely high sensitivity.

Fluorescence Polarisation

Itis a simple and powerful technique for studying molecular interactions such as protein–protein and protein–DNA binding, as well as enzyme activity. It enables real-time, homogeneous assays with minimal handling, requiring no washing or additional reagents. FP allows direct monitoring of binding ratios at very low concentrations and can be used for end-point analysis, equilibrium studies, and kinetic measurements.
