Capillary Electrophoresis Instruments

CAPEL Capillary Electrophoresis Instruments

The CAPEL Capillary Electrophoresis (CE) instruments are robust, compact and well design to be used as Dedicated Analysers for several dedicated solutions in the fields of  Biopharma, Environmental Analysis, Chemical Industry, Food Testing, Animal feeding and Veterinary.

Besides these dedicated solutions, you can use both CAPEL CE instruments for developing your own specific assay(s) based on capillary zone electrophoresis (CZE), capillary gel electrophoresis (CGE), capillary isoelectric focusing (CIEF), micellar electrokinetic chromatography (MEKC), CE-SDS and so on.

All assays that are described in the monographs or general chapters from pharmacopoeias can be executed on the CAPEL CE instruments.

Both CAPEL CE instruments are user-friendly for operation, so you can also use them as a simple CE tool to get familiar with CE technology.

In comparison to other technologies, CE technology is simple to use and brings you great advantages and benefits such as fast running time, less labour intensive and so on.

As being Total Solution Provider for CIEF and CE Solutions, we can help you with developing your assays. We will provide you the best services that you need.

Great Advantages and Benefits

In comparison with other technologies such as Ion Chromatography, Colorimetric and Titration the CAPEL CE Analysers provide you more great advantages and benefits:

  • Robustness; well developed and highly dedicated analytical protocols (SOPs)
  • Simple sample preparation; filter and dilute the sample only
  • One assay covers multiple components
  • Shorter analysis time
  • High resolution separation
  • Less labour intensive
  • Low analysis costs
  • Low maintenance and running costs
  • Environmental friendly; low recycling waste

CAPEL 105M

Customer review on CAPEL-105M:

With the CAPEL CE you can analyse anions, cations, hormones, vitamins, proteins, organic and inorganic acids.

We mainly analyse the salivary ions and release of calcium ions from hydroxyapatite fronds after a short acid attack. Furthermore we also determine the uric acid in saliva.

We have been in possession of two CAPEL CE machines for over a year and we are very satisfied with these machines, the software is easy to use.

Streaming Potential Control Feature

In capillary electrophoresis (CE) is proper conditioning of the capillary one of utmost importance for run-to-run reproducibility of migration times and peak areas of the analytes. This is accomplished by rinsing the capillary. For accessing to the quality of the rinsing procedure we propose to measure a streaming potential (SP), which is a phenomenon that arises between the ends of a fused silica capillary when an electrolyte is pressed through it.

After a new capillary is thoroughly rinsed, a so-called exemplary SP value is saved in a capillary certificate. Later during the sequence of analyses, SP is automatically measured every time after rinsing and is compared with the exemplary value. This unique SP Control feature is optional and can be implemented in the CAPEL-205 Routine Analyser

To learn more about this SP control feature, please review SP Run-to-Run Reproducibility in CE or contact us for further support.
