This session promises to be an engaging experience, taking place from 12:00 to 13:30 ensuring a delectable lunch for all attendees.
We will be diving into the realm of sustainability in life sciences research enhancing conversation on how we can make greener decisions. At the core of this workshop lies our collective desire to foster more sustainable practices within our field.
During the presentation, we will shed light on their approach to sustainable decision-making, particularly focusing on three key areas: Consumables, Samples, and Equipment. Each of these topics will prompt lively discussions and brainstorming sessions aimed at formulating practical and achievable suggestions for a more sustainable future.
Here's a glimpse into what you can expect:
♻️ Consumable. How could you help reduce plastic waste in the lab?
🐭 Sample: If animal testing is forbidden tomorrow. How would this affect your research? Do we also, do we need extraction always?
🔬 Equipment. How can you save energy in your research workflow?
But it's not just about ideas – it's about action. Throughout the workshop, participants will collaborate in small groups to exchange insights, propose innovative solutions, and identify areas where organizations and suppliers can offer support.
