How to mail-in your pipettes

  • Decontaminate your pipette and complete and sign a Decontamination Declaration
  • When the pipette arrives at our lab we will send you a confirmation by email
  • Your pipette and calibration certificate will be returned to you via couriers

ON-SITE servicing

  • Pre-clinic consultation to ensure everything runs smoothly. Each clinic is tailored to suit individual requirements
  • Clinic scheduling service available for large clinics
  • Certificates provided electronically at end of clinic
  • Service Report (provided daily, weekly or at end, depending on clinic length) listing all pipettes serviced by serial number, service level carried out and any parts fitted
  • Clinic debrief and post-clinic consultation to ensure service satisfaction

How to organize an on-site clinic

  • Contact us to discuss your requirements
  • We provide Decontamination Declarations, also marketing material to help promote the clinic, as well as info on decontamination procedures
  • You sit back and relax while we do the work!

Non-UKAS Pipette Servicing & Calibration

Service and Calibration

  • Pipette dismantled, cleaned internally, inspected, leak tested and, if necessary, worn parts replaced
  • Pipette externally cleaned
  • Calibration Date Sticker to show the next calibration due date
  • If necessary, your pipette will be adjusted to comply and recalibrated to manufacturer's specification)
  • Certificate of Calibration provided for each pipette, showing the results and any spare parts fitted

2STAR    3 readings of min & max points
3STAR    4 readings at min, mid & max points

REQUIREMENTS FOR ON-SITE CLINICS
Our technicians will bring along all the necessary equipment for servicing.
However, there are some stringent requirements that must be adhered to for the room/area where the clinic will take place

UKAS Pipette Servicing & Calibration

As a UKAS accredited laboratory (4296) you can be sure that our staff are competent and fully trained, that our instruments are calibrated and properly maintained, and our servicing is carried out in the correct conditions. UKAS is an internationally recognised standard which ensures full traceability of data, and requires both internal and external quality control.

As Found UKAS Calibration
As Found Calibration checks the performance of your pipette prior to servicing or as part of your regular checks, no adjustment of the pipette is made; this is purely a statement of how the pipette is performing:

  • The pipette will be checked against the specified specification (manufacturer's, ISO 8655 or your own)
  • Calibration sticker
  • Certificate of Calibration provided for each pipette
  • If your pipette is not within specs we can perform a Service & UKAS Calibration (if requested beforehand)

Service & UKAS Calibration

For pipettes requiring a service as well as a calibration to UKAS standards:

  • Pipette dismantled, cleaned internally, inspected, leak tested and if necessary, worn parts replaced
  • Pipette externally cleaned
  • Calibration sticker
  • If necessary, your pipette will be adjusted to comply and recalibrated to the specified specification (manufacturer's, ISO 8655 or your own)
  • Certificate of Calibration provided for each pipette, showing the results and any spare parts fitted

Pre & Post
Comprises an As Found Calibration to show how your pipette has been performing prior to us performing a Service and final UKAS Calibration:

  • As Found UKAS Calibration (as previous), followed by
  • A Service & UKAS Calibration (as previous)

Certificates are provided for both the pre and post calibrations
