Countstar Automated Cell Counter

With the automatic cell counter Countstar, you can quickly and accurately determine

through easy operations, reducing the complexity and time required by haemocytometers, while increasing precision.

The Countstar Automated Cell Counter is a cell counting and analyzing instrument developed on the basis of classic trypan blue staining. It integrates advanced optical imaging technology and intelligent image recognition technology.

All the data are saved automatically and can be output in JPEG, EXCEL or PDF. In addition, the Countstar software system also provides cultivation time chart (CTC), overlay analysis and other statistical and analytical functions.

Easy and convenient: load the slide with 20 µl sample, click start and the measurement will be completed in 5 - 20 seconds.

 

Wide range compatibility: The Countstar can be used with cells having a diameter of 5 - 180 µm, such as blood cells, mammalian cells, insect cells, algae and some planktons.

Accuracy and reliability guaranteed by multiple technologies

The balance achieved by Countstar between HD imaging and a large sampling range in combination with intelligent image recognition and calibration technology contributes to a clear presentation of measurements.
Unique cell and particle measurement modes, a flexible and convenient parameter debugging and correction optimizing system and other features ensure high statistical consistency between the measurements of Countstar and those obtained through manual counting, and greatly reduce errors in parallel measurement with the latter.
For these reasons, Countstar Cell is the most trusted upgrade and substitute for manual counting.

Based on trypan blue staining, Countstar Cell has a measurement range of 1×104-3×107 cells/mL, with the optimal measurement range being 1×105-5×106 cells/mL. In addition to good similarity between its measurements and those of a haemocytometer (see Fig. 1 and Fig. 2), Countstar can avoid errors caused by manual counting, thus making it much more reliable than manual counting (see Fig. 3, Fig. 4 and Fig. 5).
