Isolate DNA or RNA the easy way with the Arrow. This IVD robotic magnetic bead based extractor is suitable for all clinical samples, including FFPE and feaces. Process samples from primary tubes to purified Nucleic Acid in less then 45 minutes.

The Arrow instrument makes automated DNA and RNA isolation possible for all laboratories. The innovative closed pump system is suitable for a wide range of sample volumes with a reducing possibility for contamination.

The touch screen takes care of an easy and user friendly operation.

Workflow:

  1. Read barcode
  2. Load new pumps and tips, there is only one tip per sample used to reduce contamination ,
  3. Load the kits, one kit per sample to keep cost per sample the same for each run.
  4. Load samples and elution tubes
  5. Start the test run using the touch screen
  6. After the run is completed, UV decontamination can be started.

The Arrow uses kits specifically designed for Viral NA, Stool NA, Blood NA and Microbial NA.

All kits are based on magnetic bead extraction, where the DNA/RNA binds to the bead.

After binding of the DNA/RNA the beads are separated from the rest of the solution by the magnet that is suited under de kits. By doing this, the remaining buffers can be aspirated and for example, fresh washing buffer can be added.

Arrow DNA from cells, tissue and buccal swabs

The latest technology and new innovations have been used to create an easy-to-use, fully automated nucleic acid purification instrument that processes high quality DNA. The pre-filled cartridges and the user-friendly self-explaining touch screen start panel makes this instrument extremely versatile and secure in a multiuser environment. With the use of magnetic beads, the NorDiag Arrow processes 1-12 samples in 40 minutes. The Arrow DNA kit generates PCR-ready DNA from sample types such as cells, tissue, buccal swab, and saliva.

 

Arrow RNA from cells

Working with RNA can sometimes be very time consuming and thereby very expensive. The latest technology and new innovations have been used to create an easy-to-use, fully automated nucleic acid purification instrument that processes 1-12 samples, yielding high quality RNA in 38 minutes. The pre-filled cartridges and the user-friendly self explaining touch screen start panel makes this instrument extremely versatile and secure in a multiuser environment. The RNA sample contains ery low amounts of DNA, without DNase treatment. RT-PCR results are comparable to those generated from RNA obtained with a widely used kit which includes DNase treatment. The good reproducibility is very important for e.g. accurate transcriptional or signaling assays.

 

Arrow Stool DNA

A kit has been developed for automated DNA extraction from stool samples using the Arrow instrument. The Arrow Stool DNA kit is designed for automated and rapid isolation of inhibitor-free PCR-quality DNA from a variety of sample sources including humans, birds, rats, mice, cattle, eg. The Arrow Stool DNA kit yields high quality genomic, bacterial, parasite, and viral DNA from stool ready to use in PCR and other downstream enzymatic reactions. The automated protocol is fast and easy to set up with all reagents present in prefilled cartridges and 12 fecal samples can be completed in as little as 40 minutes (~ 120 mg each).

 

Arrow Blood DNA

Two kits have been developed for purification of nucleic acids from blood, one for 200 µL of blood and another for 500 µL of blood. The 500 µL kit allows a laboratory to obtain larger yields of nucleic acids without a time consuming buffy-coat preparation. The Arrow Blood DNA kits provide DNA of high quality, which can be used directly in PCR applications. The average yield is 5-10 µg of DNA from 200 µL of normal blood and the average yield is 12-23 µg of DNA from 500 µL of normal blood. The average 260/280 readings are above 1.7.

 

Arrow Viral NA

The Arrow Viral NA kit gives the best results for the PCR product with a high sensitivity, and it has a clear melting curve profile.

 

Arrow Bugs'n Beads

The isolation of Nucleic Acids (NA) from a variety of samples can be extracted with this kit, although it is particularly well suited for bacterial and some viral targets from difficult samples like urine, sputum, swabs, and growth media. The Arrow BUGS’n BEADS™ kit provides a fully automated purification of total NA from a primary tube in about 30 minutes. The Arrow BUGS’n BEADS™ kit provides NA of high quality, which can be used directly in downstream applications like PCR
